Wow my family! This one is hard to explain. I cant possibly bring myself to talk about one individual because the family as a whole is equally unique. Yes that is what I'm calling it...UNIQUE. My grandma is the sweetest woman you could ever meet but loves to go to the casino boat. She will spend forever there if she could. That or playing scrabble. Also her hearing is horrible. She cant hear anything. Her apartment is extremely loud from her TV. being turned all the way up and everything you say must be repeated about ten times before she gets close to guessing what was said. "Kristin you're such a scaredy cat", my cousin says.......
Grandma responds, " She's not afraid of cats. She has two at home." That's on a good day. Even though she cant seem to hear anything else somehow she hears every word my Grandaddy says. Now my grandaddy is a retired Chicago police officer. I love him to death. I promise there is probably very few to nothing that man does not know. He is a freaking genius! Ha has read every newspaper and knows every political or worldly fact known to man. He is what you would call a Renaissance Man; good at everything. He has a boat that sits at the harbor of Lake Michigan. In the summer, everyday, he goes and sits on his boat. He sits. And he sits. And he sits but it never leaves the harbor. only when we come do we go out on the water and even then some one else is driving. My cousin Carley or if using her full name....Elizabeth Ashley Carlotta Carley Peters Valentine Hill (Brazelton). I'm not sure how to spell that last one. Well Carley is a bit quirky but she means no harm...i don't think. A way to describe her would be split personalities. One minute she is on top of the world the other the worlds on top of her. But instead of sulking she takes a wrecking ball and gets the world out of her way along with a few innocent by standers. Sorry guys it wouldn't be right to give a story about her. My Aunt Linda is awesome. She is so goofy but wont let just anyone know it. She will be so serious, classy, and polite when others are looking but when they look away she is quick to make a face or bust out in a new dance. My mom says when she was little they would go to a friend of my grandma's house and my aunt would mush their little dog flat to the floor. All four legs straight out but when the adults came just sat there silently like a little angel. Her daughter is Lindsey or should i say Princess Lindsey. My cousin truly believes she is a princess which she honestly could be. She is also good at everything. Straight A student, Basketball team( and she is good), and models a bit all at the age of recently turned 16. Her brother on the other hand likes to should i say test the waters. We never know where that boy is but always somehow manages to show up Thanksgiving, a day before his birthday, asking for his money. Then we have my household. My mother...lets see...my mother is a bit off herself. We recently had an incident at 4 in the morning. It all started with a migraine and a frog on the wall. I saw the frog and my mother in attempts to protect me tell me to go to my room while she stays in hers with the frog. She is terrified of frogs. She goes down stairs and get a broom. I thought she would go and get roach spray, something she would do. A friend came and got the frog and my mother swears it was running a marathon around her room. My cats names are Chloe and Gremlin. Chloe is huge and i mean HUGE. But she is harmless. Gremlin, well her name says it all. I bought her outside of gymnastics out of a cardboard box. She was the only kitten who was wet because she decided to go swimming in the water bowl. We all have our weird elements but i wouldn't have it any other way. If we were normal we'd get bored. I love them so much even if they are a bit crazy...but then again so am i. Excuses, excuses, or inevitable
"Destiny, Chance, Fate, Fortune- they're all just ways of claiming your successes without claiming your failures." - Gerrard of the weaterlight(magic card).
Maybe Fate is just this big theory made up just to make excuses for our mistakes; another way of copping out of responsibility. When i did my first blog i already had my veiws on fate. I believed that out there somewhere there was a plan or grand design pre made for every individual. "Whats meant to be will be" if you will. After learning more and discussing the topic with friends, teachers, and my mother I cant say my belief/view has changed but rather matured. I have found it hard to come to a decision on fate vs. freewill without bringing in the factor of religion. I personally believe in fate in a way that God has a plan for me. The bible tells me God gave me free will so i have a choice to choose him. After i chose him i have chosen the fate he has created for me. Outside of religion its like you choose the first step and out of that step comes your fate. Say if you were meant to invent something imprtant you may have said i dont want to be a scientist i want to be a dog walker and one day you decide there has to be a better way or cleaning after them. Then you decide to create something. Guess what?!? you just invented something. Or maybe you told your friend and instead you did not invent but they decided they would. Beccause you did not take the first step fate was changed. Maybe fate is like Santa Clause, its something we want to believe in. Everyone wants to believe they have some sort of purpose. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen-Hebrews 11.1 . No one really knows the real answer of fate vs. free will. I think its just in the belief of the individual.

Whats meant to be will be.....
Do we live our lives though Free Will or are we controlled by an inevitable thing called Fate? I for one, believe in fate. I believe that the world has a pre destined, already made up design. Whether the design is created by a benevolant God or a series of them, there is a design. When dealing with fate one comes to the conclusion that "my life is a lie". No matter what a person may do Fate is inevitable. There becomes questions of responsibility and falt lingering in ones head. We cannot do anything about our outcome so this must mean we cannot possibly be responsible for the events in our life. This thought is not true. We are given more responsibility, but instead of for the outcome we are given responsibility for the choices made because of the pre destined outcome.Fate also gives one a purpose because even if they cannot change their destiny, they can shape their destiny. What is meant to be will be. I could say our choices along the way create the outcome but very easily making the choice could be ones destiny. Being in the certain place at a certain time could be ones fate. There could be a series of events that is meant to happen in order to layout what is necessary for the initial grand destiny. Yes i believe in free will but when it is tampered with by fate the question eases away from whether or not we have free will more to the question of how much free will do we really have when dealing with a force greater than ourselves.
